Example of dramatic irony Death a Salesman?
Willy Loman's death. Willy's death is a tragic event, but it is also ironic because it is the result of his own actions. Willy has spent his life chasing the American Dream, but he has never been able to achieve it. He is constantly dissatisfied with his life and feels like a failure. In his final act of desperation, he commits suicide in order to provide for his family. However, his death only serves to further devastate his family and leaves them in a worse financial situation than they were before.
