What rabbits are in Alice Wonderland?

The most famous rabbit in Alice in Wonderland is, of course, the White Rabbit.

He is the one who starts the whole adventure by rushing by Alice and muttering about being late.

While there are no other rabbits explicitly named in the book, there are a few other rabbit-like creatures that appear:

* The Gryphon has a head and wings of an eagle but the body of a lion, sometimes described as a "gryphon-rabbit."

* The Mock Turtle is described as having a "mock turtle soup" flavor, a reference to the traditional dish made from young sea turtles. This might be seen as a playful allusion to rabbits, as they are often associated with a similar savory taste.

However, the White Rabbit remains the iconic rabbit character of Alice in Wonderland, and the only one explicitly identified as such.
