What was the name of first newspaper cartoon?

It's difficult to pinpoint the absolute "first" newspaper cartoon, as the concept evolved over time. However, the first cartoon to appear in a newspaper that is widely recognized as such is a drawing by Thomas Rowlandson, published in The London Chronicle on 26 August 1797**.

It depicts King George III as a "Hog in Armour", satirizing his recent actions. This drawing predates the term "cartoon" as it is used today, but it represents a significant early example of political satire and visual commentary in print.

There were other early instances of cartoons in newspapers before this, but they were often smaller and less developed.
