When did composer John Williams win his first Oscar for adapting Fiddler on the Roof?

John Williams never won an Oscar for adapting Fiddler on the Roof. He did win an Oscar for adapting and composing the score for the 1971 musical film of that name, but the composers who won the Oscar for music adaptation were Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock, for the same 1971 film.
