What happened to Hendry Hudson in 1611?

In June 1611, while searching for a Northwest passage to Asia, English explorer Henry Hudson and his crew became trapped by ice in what is now known as Hudson Bay in northeastern Canada. When supplies ran low, the crew mutinied and set Hudson, his son, and seven crewmen adrift in a small boat. Hudson and the others were never seen again.
