How to Remove Netflix Profiles

Largely due to convenient viewing options and the various capacities for managing your personal account, Netflix has become one of the most popular online DVD renting services. Create a profile on Netflix to give personal renting capabilities to your children or other family members. This allows them to be able to order their own movies while giving you control over what ratings they can watch. Remove or change the ratings level if your child has grown and you believe they are mature enough to watch higher-rated movies. An entire profile cannot be deleted from your account, but you can make an account impossible to access by setting the number of “DVD’s-at-a-time” to zero or by changing the password.

     Visit www.netflix.com and sign in with your email address and password.

     Select the “Your Account & Help” link in the top right corner of your account’s main page.

     Select “Account Profiles” under the “Preferences” section of the “Your Account & Help” page.

     Change the “DVD’s-at-a-time” to zero by selecting “Reassign DVD’s.” Change the number next to the profile to zero. Click “OK” in the confirmation pop-up window.

     Select “Edit” next to the name of the profile to change the password or rating level. Change the password by deleting the old one and typing in a new one. Change the rating level by pulling down the “Maturity Level” menu and selecting the new rating.
