Why did the Barney actor get kicked off of Barney?

There's no evidence that the actor who played Barney, Bob West, was ever "kicked off" of the show. He was the original and primary voice of Barney for the show's entire run (1992-2009), appearing in all 14 seasons.

It's likely that the rumor about him being "kicked off" is a misunderstanding or a fabrication. There were, however, other reasons why he might not have continued with the show after its initial run ended:

* Age and Retirement: Bob West was in his 50s when the show ended. He may have chosen to retire from acting, or simply wanted to pursue other opportunities.

* Show's End: Barney & Friends ended its run in 2009. As the original voice actor, it's natural that he would not continue in the role if the show was no longer being made.

* Change in Direction: It's possible that the creators of the show wanted to go in a different direction with Barney, perhaps with a new voice or a different approach to the character.

It's important to note that there have been other actors who have voiced Barney, including Dean Cain, but Bob West remains the most well-known and iconic voice of the purple dinosaur.
