How to Play Disenchanted on Guitar

The song "Disenchanted," was released in 2006 by the group My Chemical Romance. My Chemical Romance is a band from New Jersey that plays rock music with a punk flavor to it.       Finger pick the following pattern for the first measure of the introduction: D1/D2-A-D-A-D-A-G-F#. D1 is the open fourth string. D2 is the second string first fret. Play both of these notes together for D1/D2. The D1 will continue to ring out as you play eighth notes for the rest of the series. A is the third string, second fret. G is the open third string. F# is the fourth string, fourth fret.

      Finger pick the following pattern of eighth notes for the second measure of the introduction: G-F#-G-F#-G-A-G-F#.

      Repeat the previous two steps for the third and fourth measures, but replace the D1 in the bass with a B. B is played on the fifth string, second fret.

      Repeat the first two steps again for the fifth and sixth measures, this time replacing the B in the bass with a G. G is played on the sixth string, third fret.

      Repeat the first two steps once more for the seventh and eight measures, and replace the G in the bass with an A. The A is the open fifth string. This completes the introduction.

      Repeat steps one through five during the verse.

      Strum the following chords for the chorus: D-Bm-G-A. Each chord gets two measures (eight beats).

      Strum the following progression for the bridge: Bm -Em7-A-D-Bm-G-A-Asus4. Play each chord for one measure (four beats) except for the D chord which gets two measures (eight beats).
