Think of the style or genre of song you want to create.
Search in your favorite search engine, such as Google or Bing, for: "song generator" or "lyrics generator." You can include your stylistic preference by adding the name of your desired style or even that of a particular artist to your search.
Log on to the website that seems to be most geared toward what you're looking for. Choose: Song Lyrics Generator, Country Western Song Machine or The Ronnie James Dio Lyric Generator, for instance.
Choose a style or genre if required. Song Lyrics Generator will open with instructions to choose a style from the list you'll see on the left half of the page. Click on any of the listed choices such as: Ballad, Abba or REM. Some song generators only create one specific style of songs. Their names or search engine listings will usually make this obvious.
Fill in the blanks with the requested types of words, phrases, or sentences, if required. Song Lyrics Generator, for instance, will have a list of prompts down the middle of the page. These prompts will ask for input such as: "An adjective that describes you well," "What is your occupation?" and "A day, month or season." An example is given for each, and beneath it is a purple button marked "Suggest" in case you're stuck.
Click the button to generate your song lyrics, which will usually say: "write a song", "compose" or something similar. Song Lyrics Generator's button is at the bottom of the page and is marked "Write me a song." Country Western Song Machine will open with lyrics already generated. Click the "make another!" button on the lower left to see a fresh set of lyrics. The Ronnie James Dio Lyric Generator will open with a button labeled "We Rock!" in the middle of the page. Each time you click that button, it will generate one line of lyrics.
