What are the different parts of a song?

Verse:

- Typically, the verse is the main body of the song. It sets the scene, introduces the characters, and provides the background information needed for the listener to understand the song's story.

- Typically 8 bars - 16 bars long.

- Most songs will have 2-3 verses.

Chorus:

- Typically, the chorus is the most memorable and catchy part of the song. It sums up the main idea or theme of the song with the same words sung after each verse.

- Typically 8 bars long.

- Most songs will have 2-3 choruses.

Bridge:

- Typically, the bridge is used to break up the repetitive nature of the verses and choruses. It provides a contrast in melody and often serves as a build-up to the final chorus or outro.

- Typically 8 bars long.

- Not all songs will have a bridge.

Outro:

- Typically, the outro is the final section of the song and brings it to a close. It often contains a fade-out or some other musical device that indicates that the song is ending.

- Varies in length, from 4 to 16 bars.

- All songs will have an outro.
