Famous Armenian singers in the past?

* Komitas Vardapet (1869-1935) was a renowned Armenian composer, musicologist, and singer. He is considered to be the father of Armenian classical music. Komitas collected and arranged hundreds of Armenian folk songs and composed numerous choral works, songs, and instrumental pieces.

* Hovhannes Tumanyan (1869-1923) was a prominent Armenian poet, writer, and translator. He is considered one of the greatest Armenian poets of all time. Tumanyan wrote over 1,000 poems, many of which have been translated into several languages. He also translated works by Pushkin, Lermontov, Byron, and other renowned poets into Armenian.

* Aram Khachaturian (1903-1978) was a celebrated Armenian composer, conductor, and pianist. He is best known for his orchestral works, including his "Gayane" and "Masquerade" suites, as well as his concertos for piano, violin, and cello. Khachaturian's music is characterized by its vibrant melodies, rich orchestrations, and rhythmic energy.

* Gohar Gasparyan (born 1924) is an acclaimed Armenian soprano and duduk player. She is considered to be one of the greatest exponents of Armenian folk music. Gasparyan has performed throughout the world and has recorded numerous albums. She was awarded the UNESCO International Music Council Music Prize in 2006.

* Ruben Matevosyan (born 1950) is a prominent Armenian operatic and pop singer. He has performed leading roles in operas by Verdi, Puccini, and Tchaikovsky, among others. Matevosyan has also released several pop albums and has toured extensively throughout the world.
