The Croatian national anthem is called "Lijepa naša domovino" (Our beautiful homeland). It was written by Antun Mihanović in 1835 and composed by Josip Runjanin in 1846. The anthem was first performed in 1861 in Zagreb and became the official national anthem of Croatia in 1972.
