Why did Michael and the Jackson five sing together?

The Jackson Five was formed by five brothers, including Michael Jackson, in the late 1960s in Gary, Indiana primarily out of financial necessity, as the family experienced financial difficulties. At the time, Michael was the youngest member and the lead singer. The Jackson Five began performing at talent shows and local venues in the area. Their talent quickly gained recognition, and they were signed to their first recording contract with Motown Records in 1968.

They rose to fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s with hits like "I Want You Back," "ABC," and "I'll Be There." The group's success was attributed to their impressive musical talent, particularly Michael's remarkable vocal abilities and dance moves, as well as the collective charisma of the brothers. Throughout their career, they released several successful albums and became one of the most popular acts in the music industry.

The main reason why Michael and the Jackson Five sang together was to support their family financially and to pursue their shared passion for music. As siblings, they had a close bond and enjoyed performing together. Their unity, along with their individual talents, contributed to their success as a group.

However, in the mid-1970s, Michael's solo career began to take off, and he gradually took a more prominent role within the Jackson Five. In 1975, he released his groundbreaking solo album, "Off the Wall," which showcased his exceptional talent as a singer, dancer, and songwriter. As Michael's solo career flourished, the Jackson Five transitioned into supporting acts for his tours, eventually leading to the group disbanding in 1983.

It is important to note that while Michael achieved extraordinary success as a solo artist, he always acknowledged and cherished his roots with the Jackson Five. The group's early success provided a solid foundation for his future accomplishments and helped shape his career as one of the most influential musicians of all time.
