Who started the oh la eh chant?

Oh la eh is an adaptation of the oh le le chant popularised in the 18th century by French theatre performer Jacques-Gabriel Montdorge, who played the character of Arlequin. The chant grew with the Arlequin character and was then popularised in the 19th century by singer-dancer Alexandre Guyon, who played Cassandre.
