What does a mean on iTunes?

Assistant

- If you see an "A" next to a song, album, or artist, it means that you can use Siri or other voice commandes to control the playback of that item. For example, you could say, "Hey Siri, play the album '1989' by Taylor Swift."

Purchased from iTunes

- If you see an "i" next to a song, album, or artist, it means that you purchased it from the iTunes Store.

Protected

- If you see a lock icon next to a song, album, or artist, it means that it is protected by DRM (digital rights management). This means that you can only play it on devices that are authorized to do so.

Apple Music

- If you see an Apple Music logo next to a song, album, or artist, it means that it is available to stream on Apple Music.

Offline

- If you see a cloud icon with a down arrow next to a song, album, or artist, it means that you have downloaded it for offline listening.

Synced

- If you see an arrow pointing up next to a song, album, or artist, it means that it is synced to your device from your iCloud Music Library.
