Why screamo on the radio?

Screamo is not a common genre to hear on mainstream radio. Most radio stations play popular mainstream music, which typically consists of pop, rock, hip hop, country, and other widely-appealing genres. Screamo, which is characterized by its intense, emotional vocals and aggressive instrumentation, is not as widely popular as these other genres and may not appeal to a large enough audience to warrant regular airplay.
