Who was the inventor of rap music?

Rap music does not have a single inventor. It developed gradually out of various musical traditions and influences in the African-American and Caribbean communities in the United States. Many artists, DJs, and musicians contributed to the emergence of rap music in the 1970s and 1980s, including DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, The Sugarhill Gang, Afrika Bambaataa, and others.
