What are you doing to the electrical circuit in your radio when turn on and off?

When you turn on your radio, you are closing a switch that completes the circuit between the battery and the rest of the radio. This allows current to flow from the battery to the radio, powering it on. When you turn off the radio, you are opening the switch, breaking the circuit and stopping the flow of current. This causes the radio to turn off.

In more technical terms, when you turn on the radio, you are closing a switch that connects the battery's positive terminal to the radio's power input. This allows electrons to flow from the battery's positive terminal, through the switch, and into the radio's power input. The electrons then flow through the radio's circuitry, powering it on. When you turn off the radio, you are opening the switch, breaking the connection between the battery's positive terminal and the radio's power input. This stops the flow of electrons and causes the radio to turn off.
