- A Phillips head screwdriver
- A flat head screwdriver
- A pry bar
- A flashlight
Instructions:
1. Turn off the engine and disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the radio trim in place.
3. Use the pry bar to gently pry the radio trim off of the dashboard.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the back of the radio.
5. Remove the four Phillips head screws that hold the radio in place.
6. Pull the radio out of the dashboard.
Here are some additional tips for removing a radio from a 2006 Chevy Malibu:
- Be careful not to damage the dashboard when removing the radio trim.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the back of the radio before removing the radio.
- If the radio is stuck, use the pry bar to gently pry it out of the dashboard.
Once you have removed the radio, you can install a new one by following the reverse of these instructions.
