How to Split Music Tracks

In order to split an audio track, there are certain effects that must be applied to the track before it can be split into two different tracks. Music creation software such as Audacity, Sonar and Pro Tools enable you to create, edit and split audio recordings into separate tracks. An audio track must be in stereo format for it to be split into two different tracks. "WAV" and "AIFF" audio files can't be split into two mono tracks.
