How to Connect a Turntable to Your Sound Card

If you want to convert your vinyl record collection into a more versatile digital format, you will need to connect your turntable to your computer. Whilst the majority of modern turntables offer USB connectivity, you can also connect a turntable directly to your computer's sound card using the Phono inputs. In order to record sound from your turntable through the soundcard you will need to use a Stereo Phono Pre-Amplifier to amplify the signal.

Things You'll Need

  • Stereo Phone Pre-Amplifier
  • 3.5 mm to Twin Phono Lead
