The Kitchen Studios (thekitchenstudios.net), located at 9024 Garland Rd., is a full-service recording studio, which means they have all the equipment and technology required to cater to all music styles, from R&B and hip-hop to gospel and pop. They have two rooms, an SSL Console 4036 E/G and ProTools. Their experienced staff is capable of working on the entire recording process, from tracking to final mix-down and dubbing. Kitchen Studios clients have included Erykah Badu, Ghoultown and Juvenile. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm as of 2011.
Maximedia Studios (maximediastudios.com), centrally located at 13300 Branch View Lane, is just 15 minutes from two major airports. It sits on 37,000 square feet, making it the largest recording studio in the Southwest. It has three fully equipped recording studios with SSL, API and NEVE consoles. It also has a soundstage where artists can film music videos or DVDs. Maximedia clients have included Amy Lee (of Evanescence), John Legend, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliot.
Skyline Studios (skylinestudiosdallas.com), located at 2501 Main St., is situated in Deep Ellum, the funky heart of Big D's vibrant live music scene. The recording studio is fairly large, boasting 2,400 square feet, and includes a main tracking room, vocal booth, isolation room and central control room. Skyline Studios also offers mobile recording services. They have 48 channels of outboard pre-amps and rigs of various sizes that allow them to record live shows outside the studio without sacrificing sound quality.
Luminous Sound (luminoussound.com), located at 17120 Dallas Pkwy., boasts three fully equipped recording studios capable of being networked from one main control as necessary. Artists can record original music, sound effects and even voice-over work. Luminous Sound has a two-story tracking room and sits on a total of 6,500 square feet. Clients have included the Eagles, the Polyphonic Spree and Los Lonely Boys.
