How to Separate Music From Vocals

You can separate music from vocals in mp3s using Audacity. Stereo tracks are built with separate channels, making it possible to isolate the vocals from the music. After you split the stereo tracks, you can change them into mono versions. This method is most commonly used to create your own karaoke versions of your favorite songs.
