How to Delete & Insert Effects on a Zoom HD16CD
The Zoom HD16CD is a digital multi-track recorder that is a complete, self-contained recording workstation, featuring a built-in drum machine, CD burner, digital recorder and multi-effects processor. Each of the HD16CD's 16 tracks include 10 "V-takes" virtual tracks each, so different versions of tracks can be mixed and matched. The HD16CD also includes the ability to record on eight tracks simultaneously. The unit also features a USB port to interface with your PC or Mac, and can also serve as a control interface for computer-based digital recording.

Make all connections and power up the HD16CD. Find the "Input Source" key on the top panel and press it. Rotate the dial so the display reads "Input."

Hold down the "Shift" key while pressing the "Insert Effect" key. Use the "Cursor" keys to select an appropriate effects algorithm for your application. Rotate the dial to select an editable patch.

Play your instrument and adjust the recording level. If desired, edit the effect parameters. Press the "Exit" key to return to the main screen.

Eliminate insert effects by selecting the "Line" algorithm and disabling all parameters. Remember that once an effect is recorded it can not be removed from the already-recorded track without erasing the track.
