Decide on the type of songs that you want to record, regarding subject matter. For instance, some grindcore bands will use their music to make strong political statements, whereas others will focus more on how harsh life can be. Many grindcore bands will combine the two.
Create the song, and build the rhythm around the guitar. Because the tempo will be very fast and very heavy, the song itself should be simply constructed. This will make it easier for even limited musicians to create a tight sound.
Allow for room in the song for a brief, speedy guitar solo. This can be a single guitar breaking out from a chord sequence, or be a lead guitar playing over the top of a rhythm guitar.
Include a blast beat. The drums should sound like a musical version of a pneumatic drill because of the rapidity of the beat, though there are slight variations as to how the blast beat can be achieved.
Add vocals that don't change in pitch during the song. The vocals should be aggressive all the way through, and be at least as ferocious as the guitar, bass and drums. It is important that the vocals keep with the lyrical content of the song.
Make and listen to a recording of your song. The main aspect of the music that should hit the listener is its thunderous wall of sound quality.
