In the excitement to play with the new capabilities did you remember to restart your computer after installing the software? Often when software is installed dynamic-link library files are updated. When these files are shared with other programs or processes they cannot be updated on-the-fly so a series of instructions is stored in the computer to upgrade DLL files when the computer reboots. While this is not always the case, it's a good place to start to be sure you have covered all bases.
The blue light on your UCG102 will illuminate when USB connectivity is made so check its status. The most likely culprit if the UCG light is not lit is the USB system in your computer. Try using the UCG102 in a different USB port or if you are using a USB hub try bypassing it to see if this resolves your issue. Check the port with other USB devices to confirm the port is working.
The UCG102 may change your speaker choice as part of its installation, substituting the headphone jack on the interface for your default speakers. Check the headphone port to see if you hear guitar sound there. If there is sound in the headphones and you want to restore sound to your default speakers right-click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of your screen and select "Playback devices." Choose your default setting from the list.
Check your audio input settings if you still do not hear your guitar. Right-click the speaker icon again and choose "Recording devices." Check that no devices are disabled. Click "OK." Left-click the speaker icon and click on "Mixer." Make sure all faders are up and that no channels are muted.
