Charles Bartholomew ``Chuck`` Bass is a fictional character in the teen drama television series Gossip Girl. He is portrayed by actor Ed Westwick. Chuck is introduced as the son of billionaire and Bass Industries CEO Bart Bass, and as the heir apparent to his fortune. Known as a womanizer and playboy, Chick leads a wealthy and hedonistic lifestyle in Manhattan's Upper East Side, often engaging in scandalous and immoral behavior.
