Why do you get scared when listen to music whilst in bed?

It's not clear why you would feel scared when listening to music in bed. There could be a number of perfectly normal reasons, including:

1. Sound associations: Many people associate certain sounds with danger or fear. For example, if you've had a traumatic experience in the past that involved scary music, listening to similar music in the future could trigger those negative associations and make you feel scared.

2. Anxiety or tension: If you're already feeling anxious or tense, listening to music can sometimes amplify these feelings. This is because music can affect your mood, and if you're feeling on edge, certain types of music can make you feel even more stressed.

3. Lack of control: When you're in bed and you're listening to music, you're in a vulnerable position. You're often alone, and you can't easily get away if you feel scared or uncomfortable. This lack of control can contribute to feelings of anxiety or fear.

If you find that listening to music in bed makes you feel scared, there are a few things you can do to try to reduce your anxiety:

1. Choose relaxing music: Opt for soothing, gentle music that makes you feel calm and peaceful. Avoid music with loud or harsh sounds, or that has lyrics that are violent or disturbing.

2. Lower the volume: If the music is too loud, it can be overwhelming and make you feel more anxious. Try turning down the volume so that the music is barely audible.

3. Set a timer: If you're worried about getting scared, try setting a timer for a specific amount of time. This way, you know when the music will stop and you'll be able to relax.

4. Talk to a therapist: If you find that your anxiety is severe or it's interfering with your life, consider talking to a therapist. A therapist can help you identify the underlying causes of your anxiety and work through them so that you can feel more relaxed and comfortable.

Remember, it's normal to feel scared or anxious sometimes. If you're concerned about your anxiety, talk to a healthcare professional.
