Who invented the first American radio?

The correct answer is David Sarnoff.

On the historic night of January 13, 1922, David Sarnoff, the RCA’s General Manager, proved to the public the viability of radio broadcasting. He arranged to broadcast music and voice from a specially leased phone wire connecting the Met with radio stations WEAF in New York and WNAC in Boston.
