What was the extraordinary radio law?

Emergency Broadcast System (EBS) was an emergency alert warning signal system used in the United States from 1997 to 2011. It was designed to provide information about and prepare for natural disasters and other emergencies.

The EBS was used to broadcast alerts that could be received by all radio and television stations, whether they were on the air or not. These alerts were transmitted on a dedicated frequency, which was not used for any other purpose.

The EBS was replaced by the National Alert System (NAS) in 2011. The NAS is a similar system, but it uses modern digital technology.
