Don't be afraid to experiment with different sounds and patterns until you find something you like. If you do not like a sample, you can choose a new one on the "Sample Picker".

Use automation to control the volume, panning, and other effects of your sounds. You can do this by clicking on the "Automation" button on the transport panel.
