What does do re mi fa so la ti stand for in a recorder?

The notes do, re, mi, fa, so, la, and ti represent the names of the seven notes in the musical scale. They are also used to represent the seven holes on a recorder, from the lowest hole to the highest hole. When you play a note, you cover the hole that corresponds to that note. For example, to play the note "do", you would cover the lowest hole on the recorder.
