Open GarageBand.
Click the GarageBand menu bar ->Preferences.
Click on the Audio / MIDI tab.
Select the input device to record your voice into GarageBand (for example, a USB Microphone).
Select the output device to play back the audio you record in GarageBand (for example, your computer's built-in speakers).
Click the Close button.
Step 2: Add a New Audio Track
Create a new project by clicking on the + Create New Project button in the GarageBand window and choose "Empty Project."
Click the Track button in the Control Bar.
Choose Record a New Track.
In the New Track dialog box, ensure Audio is selected. This will add an audio track for you. If you prefer to rename your track, type a new name in the "Name" field.
Make sure the correct input source is selected in the Input Source drop-down menu of the New Track dialog box. Your microphone should be selected here.
Step 3: Record Your Voice
Click on the Record button.
To start recording, click on the Record button.
GarageBand will start recording the audio from your selected microphone.
Click the Stop button to stop recording.
This will stop the recording and save the audio as an audio track file on your audio track.
Step 4: Repeat the Recording if Necessary
If you are not happy with your first recording, you can repeat the process described above to create multiple recordings. Each new recording will be added as a new audio track in your project.
Step 5: Edit Your Audio Track
Once you have created all of the recordings you need, you can start editing them using the tools in GarageBand.
To access the editing tools for an audio track, double-click on the audio track in the Tracks area.
This will open the Audio Track Editor window, where you can perform editing tasks like trimming, splitting, and adding effects to your vocal recordings.
Step 6: Save Your Project
When you finish recording and editing your audio tracks, save your GarageBand project by clicking the Save button in the menu bar.
