Why is the power cutting off on your stereo receiver?

Overheating: If your receiver is overheating, several components can cause the power to cut off, including:

- Heatsink problem: The most common cause of overheating is a problem with the heatsink, which is responsible for dissipating heat from the receiver's internal components. Check that the heatsink is not obstructed in airflow and is clean.

- Faulty fan: Some receivers may be equipped with a cooling fan that helps dissipate heat. Ensure the fan is working correctly by checking for obstructions or a lack of power.

Overloading: If your receiver is overloaded, the power may cut off to protect the internal components.

- Speaker impedance mismatch: Make sure your receiver is compatible with your speakers' impedance. When an impedance mismatch occurs, the receiver typically enters protect mode, causing the power to cut off.

- Too many devices connected: Connecting too many devices to the receiver can draw excessive power and trigger the protection mechanism.

Short-circuit: If there's a short-circuit in the wiring of your speakers, the receiver may cut off the power as a safety measure. Inspect the speaker wires for any exposed conductors or damage.

Power supply issue: It's possible that the receiver's power supply (external brick or internal components) is faulty, leading to power cut-offs.
