How do you take the radio out of a 1999 c230 kompressor?

To remove the radio from a 1999 C230 Kompressor, you will need the following tools:

- A Phillips head screwdriver

- A flat head screwdriver

- A pair of pliers

- A torx bit set

1. Disconnect the battery. This is important to prevent any damage to the electrical system. To do this, open the hood and use a wrench to loosen the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the trim around the radio. There are four Phillips head screws that hold the trim in place. Remove these screws and then use a flat head screwdriver to pry the trim off.

3. Detach the radio antenna cable: You will see an antenna cable connected to the back of the radio. Use your finger to pull the tab down on the connector to disconnect it. Next, use a torx driver to loosen the antenna cable ground nut and remove it. Once that's done, you can disconnect the radio antenna.

4. Remove the mounting bolts. There are four torx bolts that hold the radio in place. Remove these bolts.

5. Pull out the radio. You should be able to pull the radio out with it's mounting bracket by hand.

6. Disconnect any cables. There may be one or two cables still connected to the radio. Use your pliers to disconnect them.

7. Remove the radio. Once all of the cables are disconnected, you can remove the radio from the car.

Note: You may need to use a radio removal tool or a pair of pliers to release the radio from the dash. Be careful not to drop the radio or damage the console.
