Try to sell your records to a music store. Many independent music shops buy used records for cash or store credit. However, your records must be in decent condition or the store may refuse to buy them.
Donate your record to a thrift shop. Unlike a secondhand music store, a thrift shop won't refuse your records. Thrift shops such as Goodwill have clearly marked donation centers where you can drop off your records. Make sure you hand your records to an employee rather than simply leaving them outside a door or on the floor.
Sell your records at a yard sale. To determine whether your records are worth anything, assess their condition, then look up the record on a website such as eBay to see what people might be willing to pay for it. If you have a record worth a significant amount of money, consider selling it on eBay yourself.
Sort through your album covers and select ones that fit a theme (such as covers that picture a man with a beard).
Arrange the similarly themed covers side by side, then frame them to create a whimsical wall piece.
Isolate your favorite album covers and frame them either as a group or individually.
