Select a suitable location on the ceiling for placement of the mirror ball. Hold the ball in different locations around the room with a spotlight shining on it to achieve the desired effect you're looking for. Traditional mirror ball placement is directly over the center of the dance floor.
Attach the base motor to the ceiling using the Phillips screwdriver. Most motor bases will contain between two and four mounting holes to secure the motor base. Mounting screws are typically included in the hardware package.
Attempt to wiggle the motor base to ensure it is securely fastened to the ceiling. Secure tighter or try a new location in there is any movement.
Clip the mirror ball hook to the motor base. Some bases may feature a hook or a full circle attachment to secure the mirror ball. A chain may be provided to assist in achieving the proper height for the mirror ball. The mirror ball my be clipped directly to the base motor or hung lower by utilizing the chain.
