Start the program so that the "Power Wizard" appears on the screen. Select "Create a new karaoke song from soundtrack and lyrics using this Power Wizard" and click "Next."
Click the "Browse" button to find the song on your hard drive. Click the box to run the "Power Vocal Remover" - which secludes and suppresses the lead vocals of the track so that your voice becomes the dominant one. Select "Next."
Copy and paste or type out the lyrics in the "Song Lyrics" menu. Import the lyrics, if you have them on your hard drive in a text file, by clicking the appropriate button. Click the "Next" button.
Mark the points in the song when the lyrics should come up on the screen. Use the "Synchonizing" process to have the program highlight specific words while you select each one at the time it occurs in the song. Click "Start synchronizing" to begin; press the "Space" bar to select words as the song is playing. You can pause, slow the song down, go back or rewind to get the timing correct. Press "Control" to break off at the end of a word.
Press the "Test" button to make sure your synchronization is correct, singing the song yourself to confirm that the words are highlighted at the correct times. Click "Next" to finish the task.
