Examine the color and wear of the album artwork and the paper it's printed on. Straighten out bent corners and scrape off any residue or dust buildup.
Assess the worth of your records. Talk to a local record store or experienced record collector. Certain websites (see Resources) offer free online assessments based on artist, year, album, rarity and condition of the vinyl.
Take the records to a used music store with the assessed worth and begin bargaining. Or opt to sell your albums online to buyers across the country. This will require additional shipping, and you will need to upload an image of the album. That will require a camera or a scanner.
