Pull off three to four feet of duct tape and wrap it up like a cocoon, using a motion with your hand and wrist that is the same as reeling a fishing pole. This piece is the actual handle you will grab.
Bend the handle into a crescent shape.
Place the ends of the handle onto the case above where the previous handle existed.
Use the scissors to cut off several pieces of duct tape about four inches long and wrap them around the ends of the handle so that it firmly attaches to the case.
Pick up the case with the handle to make sure it is secure enough. Use more duct tape if necessary.
Take your guitar out of the case and remove any pieces of the broken handle that remain attached to the case.
Remove the original rivet by snapping it in half with the wire cutter.
Slide the new handle into place between the holders on the original piece of hardware.
Slide the split rivets through the hardware with the flat ends on the inside of each end of the handle.
Bend the split ends of the rivets as close to a 90-degree angle as possible, to hold the handle in place.
