Connect your mixer or interface to your PC with the adapter cables. Which cables to use depends on the design of your equipment. Consult the manufacturer's documents for recommended configurations.
Connect the C-1 to the mixer or interface using the XLR cable. This should be done with phantom power switched off. Turn it on only after the mic is connected to avoid damage to the mic itself.
Start the software with which you plan to use your C-1 mic and set levels as needed. A mixer plugged into the PC sound card should not require additional configuration. Audio interfaces may need drivers installed. Follow instructions provided with your interface.
Connect the C-1U microphone to your PC using the USB cable included with the microphone. Your computer should be on when you connect the mic.
Watch for signs that your microphone is detected and configured. Drivers for the C1-U will be loaded automatically. Verify that the blue light on the microphone illuminates, indicating the mic is receiving power via the USB port.
Choose the C1-U mic as your sound source within the audio application you wish to use. The C-1U is packaged with software to create podcasts and multitrack recordings.
