George Harrison played a variety of guitars throughout his career, but he is most closely associated with the Gretsch Duo Jet and Fender Stratocaster.

* Gretsch Duo Jet: Harrison's first major electric guitar was a Gretsch Duo Jet, which he purchased in 1957. He used this guitar extensively during the early days of the Beatles, and it can be heard on many of their early recordings, including "Love Me Do" and "Please Please Me."

* Fender Stratocaster: Harrison began using a Fender Stratocaster in the mid-1960s, and it quickly became his main guitar. He used a variety of Stratocasters over the years, but his most famous guitar was a 1963 model nicknamed "Rocky."
