Where flute do players sit in orchestra?

In an orchestra, flute players typically sit in the first row of the woodwind section, which is located at the front of the orchestra. They sit in a specific seating arrangement that is designed to balance the sound and blend with the other instruments. The principal flutist, who is the lead player of the flute section, usually sits in the first chair, closest to the conductor, with the other flute players seated behind them in descending order of experience and skill.
