How much space do you need for a baby grand piano?

Baby grand pianos require a minimum space of 4 feet (1.2 meters) in width and 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length.

For comfortable playing and moving around the piano, a space of 5 feet (1.5 meters) in width and 8 feet (2.4 meters) in length is recommended.

To allow for proper sound projection and resonance, it is also advisable to have a clear area in front of the piano, extending at least 2 feet (0.6 meters) beyond the projected lid.

Additionally, it is important to consider the height of the piano and ensure there is adequate clearance for the lid to be fully opened.
