There are five organizations that regulate broadcast media and telecommunications media:

1. Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA).

2. Broadcast Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA).

3. Film and Publication Board (FPB).

4. Communications Ombudsman

5. Media Development Independent Trust (MDIT).
