What are non-percussion instruments?

Non-percussion instruments are musical instruments that do not produce sound by being struck or shaken. Some common examples of non-percussion instruments include:

String instruments: These instruments produce sound when a string is plucked, bowed, or struck. Some examples of string instruments include the violin, guitar, cello, and piano.

Wind instruments: These instruments produce sound when a player blows air across a reed, mouthpiece, or other aperture. Some examples of wind instruments include the flute, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet.

Brass instruments: These instruments are similar to wind instruments, but they are made of brass and produce a louder, more resonant sound. Some examples of brass instruments include the trombone, tuba, and trumpet.

Keyboard instruments: These instruments produce sound when a key is pressed, which triggers a hammer to strike a string or metal tine. Some examples of keyboard instruments include the piano, organ, and harpsichord.

Electronic instruments: These instruments produce sound using electronic circuitry. Some examples of electronic instruments include the synthesizer, theremin, and electric guitar.
