What is a hudhud instrument?
There is no musical instrument called the "hudhud instrument." However, there is a Philippine epic song tradition called the Hudhud chants, which is proclaimed by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity since 2008.
The Hudhud chants of the Ifugao, sung mainly by women while working, depict their rich oral narratives that recount history, legends, kinship, social values, customs, beliefs, rituals, and agricultural practices during festivals.
