Can your antique mandolin be shaped like an ukulele?

Mandolins and ukuleles are two distinct musical instruments with different shapes, sizes, and origins. While both mandolins and ukuleles have stringed bodies, their shapes are quite different. Mandolins typically have a rounded body with a teardrop-shaped sound hole, while ukuleles have a smaller, figure-eight-shaped body and a round sound hole. Additionally, antique mandolins would not be shaped like ukuleles, as the ukulele is a relatively modern instrument that was developed in the 19th century, whereas the mandolin has been around for centuries.
