How thick are harp strings?

Harp strings come in a variety of thicknesses, depending on their pitch and material. In general, the strings on the lower end of the harp are thicker than those on the upper end. The bass strings can be as thick as a quarter inch in diameter, while the treble strings can be as thin as a single hair. However, most harp strings are somewhere in between these extremes.
