Who brought the electric guitar to US?

The electric guitar was brought to the United States by George Beauchamp in the early 1920s. Beauchamp was a Hawaiian guitarist who lived in Los Angeles, and he was looking for a way to amplify the sound of his guitar so that he could play in larger venues. He worked with a local engineer named Adolph Rickenbacker to develop the first electric guitar pickup, and they patented their invention in 1931. The first electric guitars were made by Rickenbacker, and they were quickly adopted by jazz and blues musicians.
